Christy Corley Sanders - Owner
CAST & Crowns was founded in September 2010 after Christy shuttered Christy’s Dance Connection to open a fully functioning youth performing arts center in Clarksville. CAST was formerly in 3 other locations previously; however, in the summer of 2022 CAST & Crowns moved to their new permanent home on Uffelman Drive.
Christy Corley Sanders is the Owner & Artistic Director of CAST. Christy is accredited and certified by both Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance/Theater, was a Vocal Performance minor, has a Masters in Christian and Performing Arts, is a lisenced Christian counselor, and an ordained minister. Christy is a member of Tennessee Association of Dance and American Business Women's Association, and has been recognized by the City of Clarksville, Mayor Joe Pitts and Senator Curtis Johnson, and was recognized by former TN Governor Lamar Alexander (1979 to 1989) for Community Service and her impact on the City of Clarksville.
Christy is the founder of CAST Come Together Church.
For nearly two decades (1980s-1990s), Christy was a part of The Miss America organization, where she would sing and model for various trade shows in Atlantic City. She is currently The Worlds Miss Tourism Pageant System State Director for Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Under her direction, many state winners have gone onto win World and National Titles.
With a true desire and passion for teaching, Christy has long followed the careers and successes of her (former) students as they have joined various collegiate dance teams, become professional performers, gone on to have a fine arts teaching career of their own, and/or joined various cheer programs. Seeing her "kids" perform in Disney movies and for Royal Caribbean, Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines, where they bring so much joy to so many people, is truly fulfilling for Christy.
CAST Troupe teams continually win regional and national dance competitions, and Christy has been recognized and awarded for her choreography. On numerous occasions, she has also had finalists in the Miss Tennessee America State Pageant.
Christy and her husband Jim have beautiful and talented daughter, Chalan. They also have a German Shepherd named Luna. In her spare time, Christy enjoys shopping, watching old movies, spending quality time with family, rooting for The Titans and sleeping in late. She loves her CAST family, and invites you to come take part. Mention this bio when you come in to check us out and we will even offer you a free class.
